CANCELLED ONLINE: Bicycle Riding Over 50 – September 2020

September 29, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

$25

Classes and Lessons Suspended Indefinitely

After a grand rebooting of Bike Fun lessons and classes, we once again have to come to a halt. Due to an ongoing and likely lengthy family medical emergency, I am suspending Bike Fun’s in-person and online lessons and classes indefinitely. I anticipate being able to re-open for in-person and online lessons and classes in Spring of 2021.

Bicycle Riding Over 50 is an ONLINE CLASS via Zoom through Nashville Community Education.

KJ will be teaching as part of the Nashville Community Education series. This class is open to the general public, and registration is available through the Nashville Community Education website.

Class Overview

Bicycle riding is a low-stress, low-impact activity that can be enjoyed whatever your age. Learn how to keep rolling through your 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond. Topics include where to ride, physical adaptations, benefits of e-bikes, and more.

Classes will be held online, in the comfort of your own home or office. This is a one-time, one hour class, and registration costs are $25. Follow up materials will be sent by email covering topics discussed in the class. Students are invited to send topic-specific questions prior to the class.

Class Topics

  • Health benefits of bicycle riding over 50
  • Advice on physical challenges and how to address them
  • Can you adapt your current bicycle – or do you need a different one?
  • What’s the deal with e-bikes? Pros, cons, etc?
  • Where are good places to ride (and folks to ride with) in Nashville – and beyond?

Students will have an opportunity to continue one-on-one assistance with KJ at a special NCE student rate.

Registration is available at the Nashville Community Education website.

(If you’re a returning rider looking for advice on how to size yourself for a bicycle, check out Welcome to Bicycle Riding which KJ will be teaching through Nashville Community Education earlier in September.)
