Bike Fun offers reasonable rates for one-on-one instruction and group classes. Groups are limited to 5 or fewer and can be composed of people who know each other or who are just united by a common interest in bike riding!
Individual bike sizing (to ensure comfort and safety); specialized training and general nutrition advice for novice riders; individual instruction on safe riding techniques and emergency maneuvers; individual instruction on basic bike maintenance – $50 per hour (limited sliding scale slots are available for students, first-time bike riders and on a case-by-case basis). Bike Fun travels within a 20 mile radius of downtown Nashville, TN; additional mileage may incur a nominal fee.
Group instruction on safe riding techniques and emergency maneuvers; group instruction on basic bike maintenance; group instruction on commuting and errand routes; group instruction on greenway and vehicular riding – $20 per hour per person; minimum 3 riders – maximum 5 riders – not applicable for youth learn-to-ride instruction.
Instruction is also available through Nashville Community Education on a variety of bike-related topics. Rates vary but are generally between $25-40 per class, up to 2 hours of instruction.
Business rates for group classes are negotiable based on curricula and number of attendees. University student group instruction also available.
From time to time, Bike Fun will plan free community rides or small fee group rides (usually with a food- or destination-related theme). Check the event calendar for upcoming rides. We will generally ride in all types of weather, year-round, though in the case of strong storm or lightning potential we will postpone or cancel the ride.
