On Saturday, July 16th, Bike Fun is hosting a Basic Bicycle Maintenance class. We’ll be outside and will cover the basics of home bicycle maintenance, as well as provide time to answer all the questions you may have about bicycle maintenance. If you have a bicycle and bring it, we’ll also fill out your very own Bicycle Information Sheet.
This course is for anyone 13 and up who wants to learn more about taking good care of a bicycle. It will cover the following topics:
- How to fix a flat
- How to properly inflate your tires
- How to clean a chain and diagnose chain wear; and
- How to make basic brake adjustments.
Ages 13+ – this is not a youth-specific course, FYI. Bicycles can be provided for those who would like to attend but don’t have their own bicycle yet. Please bring a water bottle/hydration and a snack! Bike Fun will have limited snacks available.
